EVENTS LIST 2008

Drill Sessions

March drill session Beamish Museum -29th/30th March. Similar to what we had last year with camp and full kit. The 33rd will also attend this drill session.

April

Wellington Country Park April 12th / 13th. Event includes the 68th, 33rd, 95th, and possibly French! Living history and drill displays.

St George’s Day Honour Guard April 19th.

May

Alnwick Castle Spring Bank Holiday weekend, 24th/25th/26th May. Living history and drill displays.

June

Sunderland History Fair June 7th , Seaburn Centre, Sunderland. Similar to “Yesterday belongs to you”.

July

Belvoir Castle. July 5th/6th. Living history and drill displays. 68th with Coldstream Guards and the Harris Battery.

Kirkstall one-day festival (near Leeds) Saturday 12th July. We have been invited by the 33rd to join them at this event. Living history and drill displays.

Kelmarsh Hall. July 19th/20th. Multi-period English Heritage event. Same band, same beer tent as last year! A fantastic event to visit!

August

DLI Museum, Durham. August 2nd/3rd. Anniversary Celebration.

Beamish Museum August 9th/10th. Living history and drill displays.

 

Drill Sessions at the end of the season

October 12th

November 8th, followed by Armistice Day Parade at Durham Cathedral on Sunday 9th.

Dec 7th ‘ Make and Mend’ day for cleaning muskets, refurbishing kit etc.

Jan 11th 2009 AGM and party. Jan 12th Drill session.
